Dr. Shelley grew up in Southern California but fell in love with the Bay Area while pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at San Francisco State University. She explored more of the Pacific Northwest while earning her doctorate from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Dr. Shelley returned to the Bay Area where she has been practicing since 2007. She has a passion for seeing young children because up to 80% of a child’s learning in school is through vision. She has obtained hundreds of hours in developmental optometry to offer vision therapy/vision rehabilitation to her patients. She has been a board member for the San Joaquin Optometric Society since 2008 and volunteers her time performing vision screenings for non-profit organizations such as Tzu Chi. Dr. Shelley is married to Bill and together they enjoy watching their two teenage boys play various sports, their two cats, hiking when it is not too hot, and jigsaw puzzles, if time permits.
